Addressing the Needs of the Community
Promoting and improving the health and well-being of the rural communities they serve has long been an important mission of critical access and other small, rural hospitals and their affiliated healthcare organizations.
Since the passage of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 made CHNA reports a requirement for many hospitals, ICAHN has assisted more than 100 member and non-member hospitals with this project.
A forward-thinking, not-for-profit hospital will use the CHNA not only as a compliance document, but more importantly, as a means for enhancing care delivery and effecting positive change within the community.
ICAHN offers valuable expertise in providing the information and resources hospitals need to fully identify the broad health needs of their communities, assuring the hospital’s efforts are best aligned in every way possible to the needs of those they serve.
ICAHN utilizes a systematic, data-driven approach to complete the CHNA process. We facilitate all phases of the projects and help hospitals coordinate arrangements for focus groups and other group meetings. In addition to CHNA services, ICAHN also offers customized services, including specialized surveys, health data analysis by service area, and technical assistance for community action development.
Our experience allows ICAHN to provide hospitals with a well-coordinated process and successful outcome at a modest cost.
