Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

What Participants Learn

Through guided discussion, audiovisual learning, and hands-on practice, participants build practical intervention skills and confidence in supporting individuals at risk.

Participants learn how to:

  • Recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide

  • Provide a compassionate and skilled intervention

  • Develop a collaborative safety plan

  • Connect individuals to additional resources and ongoing support

Accessible and Community Focused

LivingWorks ASIST is designed for both professionals and community members. Anyone age 16 or older may participate, and no previous training or experience is required.

The program is widely used across:

  • Healthcare organizations

  • Schools and educational settings

  • Emergency response agencies

  • Community and social service organizations

  • Faith and community groups
