Meet Sarah Rogers

Sarah Rogers Communications Coordinator

After graduating from Cornell College with degrees in English, speech and theater, Sarah started her career as a reporter in Sterling, IL at her hometown paper, The Daily Gazette. Over 11 years, she served as features editor, news editor, page designer, and assistant managing editor there and at The Journal-Standard in Freeport, IL.

She joined Newell-Rubbermaid as publications editor in 2001 to produce the company’s worldwide newsletter, The Newell Post. In 2004, she went to M45 Marketing, writing marketing and news relations copy and managing social media for clients ranging from a worldwide technology conglomerate, an ethanol plant, a community bank and a national hospitality company to the area’s healthcare organization. She joined ICAHN in 2022 to coordinate the organization’s social media and as a member of the marketing team.

What do you love about rural healthcare?

I enjoy working with member hospital marketing teams to highlight the many ways their organizations serve their communities. Rural hospitals and health systems are often the biggest employer in their area and play an important role in the health of the community itself. I like to help our member hospitals show that off!
