Pat Schou serves as moderator for 34th annual AHA leadership conference
Pat Schou, ICAHN Executive Director, will serve as a moderator for the Accountable Care Organization segment delivered during the 34th annual American Hospital Association Rural Healthcare Leadership Post-Conference on March 17. She is a member of the AHA’s “Pathway to Recovery Affinity Group,” designed to be an engagement experience to facilitate networking.
What is an affinity group?
For this purpose, it is a group of people who have identified an interest in a common topic or theme – Pathways to Recovery. Affinity groups provide a means through which you can connect for networking. By engaging in virtual communities of rural leaders with common interests, you will have the opportunity to make valued contacts with your peers – the kind of connections that happen naturally at in-person events.
What’s the plan?
There is a planned preconference, conference, and post-conference. By design, these are facilitated conversations with a panel of experts who will share their perspectives.
What are the sessions and when are they held?
Session 1 of 3 – Preconference, January 29, 2021, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm on “Transformational Leadership: Leading with an Abundance/Infinite Mindset,” with moderator, Eric Shell, Principal and Board Chair, Stroudwater, Portland, ME.
Session 2 of 3 – Conference, February 18, 2021, 12:00 – 1:00 pm on “Reimagining Leadership: A Pathway for Rural Health to Thrive in a COVID-19 World,” with moderator, Benjamin Anderson, Vice President, Colorado Hospital Association.
Session 3 of 3 – Post-conference, March 17, 2021, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on“Value Based Purchasing for Rural Communities – Transforming Delivery and Payment,” with moderator (Global Budget) Gary Zegiestowsky, Executive Director, Rural Health Redesign Center Authority, Penn Rural Health Model and moderator (Accountable Care Organizations) Patricia Schou, Executive Director, ICAHN, Illinois Rural Community Care Organization, Princeton, IL.
