Horizon Health to hold a ‘Garden of Hope’ celebration on September 15th
The public is invited to attend a celebration of Horizon Health’s “Garden of Hope” on Sunday, September 15, from 3 to 5 pm. The garden is located in the courtyard area on the Horizon Health campus, 721 E. Court Street, in Paris. Refreshments will be available.
The Garden of Hope, which opened three years ago, was initiated by the Cancer Friendship Group. The intent was to create a soothing space where community members – including cancer survivors, caregivers, and their families – could reflect, meditate, and get an increased sense of hope, renewal, and restoration.
Since the inception of the garden, the space has continued to evolve with increased features, including trees, shrubs, and a bird house. Along with its beautiful landscaping, the garden provides benches, a brick walkway, and water feature.
Purchase a Brick Paver
The garden’s brick pavers are available for purchase and include engraving. A 6”x9” brick is $75, and a 9”x9” brick is $150. Individuals can also make monetary donations to support the garden. All donations, including paver purchases, are tax deductible as allowed by law.
To purchase a brick paver, or to make a donation to the Garden of Hope, call Kim Macke at 217-466-4295.
