Memorial Hospital announces altered partnership with UnityPoint Health

Submitted by the Herald-Whig

UnityPoint Health and Memorial Hospital announced August 12 that they have changed their partnership.  Instead of an affiliation between the two organizations that was announced last year, Memorial Hospital will enter into a management services agreement with UnityPoint Health where it will receive access to technology and other back office functions that support care delivery.  The new agreement is similar to relationships UnityPoint Health has with 18 other hospitals in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.  “We will continue to care for patients as we always done in the past,” said Memorial Hospital CEO Ada Bair. “The management services agreement gives us flexibility to serve our rural community’s changing needs.”
