PRINCETON, IL — The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) has appointed two new members to the organization’s 2025 Board of Directors.

Tyler Killpack, MHA, FACHE is Vice President of Community Hospitals for Mercyhealth, leading hospital operations of inpatient units, surgical services, and emergency departments. He most recently played an integral role in the opening of Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic – Crystal Lake.

Killpack was named one of ICAHN’s “4-Under-40” winners in 2022 for his role as a key leader in the critical access hospital (CAH) environment and has served as Co-Chair of ICAHN’s Regulatory and Legislative Committee.

Larry Spour is President of the Community Hospital of Staunton in Staunton. He has had leadership positions in a number of ICAHN member critical access hospitals including Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin, Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, and Clay County Hospital in Flora. He has been serving Illinois healthcare organizations since 2005.

The ICAHN Board of Directors has named its leaders for the 2025 year, including:

President Pam Pfister, Morrison Community Hospital

President-Elect Jim Johnson, Franklin Hospital

Secretary/Treasurer Don Robbins, Massac Memorial Hospital

Past President Karissa Turner, Wabash General Hospital

The following three members round out the board of nine directors total:

Bob Sellers—Clay County Hospital

Kim Bourne—Taylorville Memorial Hospital

Victoria Woodrow—Hamilton Memorial Hospital

The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN), headquartered in Princeton, Illinois, is a nationally recognized organization representing sixty rural hospitals across the state. These hospitals, designated as Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, serve as the primary and emergency healthcare providers for 1.4 million rural residents. ICAHN is dedicated to strengthening the operations of its member hospitals through advocacy, education, and collaboration, ensuring that rural communities have access to high-quality healthcare services.

ICAHN supports its member hospitals by addressing the unique challenges of rural healthcare through innovative programs and partnerships. The organization administers state, federal, and private healthcare programs while providing training, resources, and shared best practices to enhance the delivery of care. By fostering collaboration among its members, ICAHN improves patient outcomes and strengthens the resilience of rural healthcare systems, ensuring a healthier future for Illinois’ rural communities.
